BPC conquered the Battlefield in 2017 ALCU Skills in Competition

Bulacan Polytechnic College (BPC) won numerous awards as they joined the 5th Association of Local Colleges and Universities (ALCU) Region III Skills Competition headed by the college president, Dr. Perlita M. Cruz, together with the instructors and coaches last November 24, 2017 held at Gordon College in Olongapo City.

With the theme: "Internationalization of ALCU RIII through skills based initiatives", the regional event strives to strengthen ties among government-owned educational institutions in the region while showcasing and inspiring world-class excellence in skills development.

The competition are composed of different categories such as: "Hackathon" participated by Rannie R. Ollit, Julius Fidelis R. Hubilla, Michael C. Velayo with their coach Mr. Sheldon V. Arenas; "Computer Assembly and Disassembly" were the BPC college student Enrico Alcoriza with his coach Ms. Eliza Pascual claimed the third spot; "On-The-Spot Flower Arrangement" participated by Joey Pajarillaga and guided by his coach Mrs. Erica Dumlao; "Tour Guiding"; "On-the-spot Table Napkin Folding" participated by Quilmar Manigsasa with his coach Mrs. Teresita Pangilinan; "On-The-Spot Table Skirting" where Jonnel Tolentino and Jolina Francisco together with their coach Mrs. Teresita Pangilinan won the second place; "Fruit Flambé Freestyle"; “Audio-Video Presentation” participated by William Cabrera and Vergel Canlas with their coach Mr. Paulo A. Victoria; "Bed Making with Towel Folding" where Ariane Allaine Capule and Kenneth Lopez with their coach Mr. Norman Raymundo and Mrs. Pia Amor Dianco also claim the third spot and another third place for "Game Development" joined by Raymond Bonifacio, Jose Lean San Juan, and Jhon Ace Simbulan through the help of their coach Ms. Minerva Magbitang.

ALCU RII competition have also participated by Mabalacat City College, Norzagaray College, City College of Angeles, Pambayang Dalubhasahan ng Marilao, Polytechnic College of Botolan and Gordon College which is also the host school of the said regional meet.

ALCU-Region III is the body governing all state colleges and universities in Central Luzon. The organization aims to improve the quality of instruction, research and extension of its member schools, and to provide quality tertiary education that will be cascaded to the benefit of underprivileged but deserving and talented youth.
